My grandfather, Merlin Vought, Sr. began Indianhead Carpet in 1955 with service on his mind and an old warehouse, that has long since passed away, as his store. The family tradition continued as my father, Merlin Jr., purchased the business from my grandfather in the 1970s. Dad was in his niche and helped Indianhead through some rough years to become the successful business my husband Tom and I purchased in February 2002. To say that the business is in my blood is true. I loved the store during my childhood living right next door and going to college to study Interior Decorating and Marketing (meanwhile my future husband was studying marketing also.) I was overjoyed when Dad asked us to move back to Barron to give the business a try. That was nearly 17 years ago. Tom has worked here since then and is a natural at figuring, measuring and finances. He is a detail person. What a treat to have a husband who shares my dream. The dream became more real ten years ago as I became the resident decorator. I enjoy working with the customers and organizing. In that way, Tom and I are a perfect fit. We love our store and want very much to get to know you and serve you in the many years to come. We are still here and hope to be for another 53 years and beyond. The tradition continues.... Debra (Vought) Wampfler Need organizing help, Deb would love to assist you. She offers her services for devising a plan and implementing it too. Call us today. We also offer services with real-estate staging and much more!!
